Lahore’s elite, shielded by wealth and status, navigate exclusive circles where discretion is currency. Meanwhile, marginalized women from lower-income backgrounds—often widowed, orphaned, or escaping abusive homes—turn to this work as a last resort. The tension between cultural shame and economic pragmatism defines their reality.
