Grace Cares Initiative Inc was born from the powerful personal story of its founder, Francis B. Akoi — a war survivor who lost his family to inadequate health services in Liberia. Motivated by his own trauma, Francis turned pain into purpose: building a healthcare center of dignity, healing, and hope. Today, under his leadership, Grace Cares supports thousands through free surgeries, maternal and child health programs, and preventative care. Francis’s journey — from orphanhood to community healer — inspires every aspect of our work, as we strive to restore and protect lives in the heart of Monrovia.
