Journeys Uganda was an idea envisioned from Will Weber the Director JOURNEYS INTERNATIONAL based in the US, it all started when I stopped to aid their broken-down vehicle while on a Uganda safari in 2009. As a professional guide at Journeys Uganda and tourism management graduate, seeing many Uganda travel companies organize bustling convoys of minivans, and land cruisers, packed with tourists, made me feel they were missing the true wilderness experience and the ancient Uganda-Rwanda. Therefore being a guide’s trainer and conservationist, I learned how inspirational and satisfying culturally-respectful and environmentally-sensitive travel can benefit both the hosting communities and the travelers.
