Society’s gaze in Lahore is unrelenting. The stigma attached to such work often alienates individuals, pushing them deeper into the shadows. Families disown daughters found engaging in these roles, while clients face social ostracism. Yet, despite the risks, the demand persists. Cultural hypocrisy adds to the paradox: while the city’s elite condemn such services, their discreet enclaves thrive in opulent neighborhoods like Defence and DHA.
