Several N,O-coordinate half-sandwich iridium complexes, 1-5, containing constrained bulky β-enaminoketonato ligands were prepared and clearly characterized. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction characterization of these complexes indicates that the iridium center adopts a distorted octahedral geometry.
