A wheat germ polysaccharide (WGP-1) was isolated from wheat germ through hot-water (pH = 7.3) extraction and further fractionated by anion-exchange column using DEAE-52 cellulose column and purified by gel-permeation chromatography using Sephacryl S-500 column.
