Hyperkalaemia is a complication in patients with chronic kidney diseaseor acute kidney injury and occurs frequently in the intensive care unit. One treatment approach includes intravenous (IV) insulin to shift potassium intracellularly. The primary outcome was hypoglycaemia (blood glucose 70mg/dL) after insulin administration.
