Flexisolar is solving the key challenges of urban decentralised energy and low-carbon transport. We are innovators in solar technology working on breakthrough innovation with a host of high-profile companies such as Siemens and Skanska. We are vertically integrated designers and manufacturers of photovoltaic (PV) systems. Flexisolar has led over GBP 2 million of R&D in the solar industry and battery storage through research projects, consortia, and internally funded work. This has made us market leaders in solar carports, lightweight rooftops, and mobile solar systems. Flexisolar is owned by Inside2Outside Ltd (I2O Ltd) and operates as the Low-Carbon Infrastructure and Research division of the group since 2009. I2O ltd has over 25 years of expertise in the sustainable building sector with over 2500 successful installations nationwide. Flexisolar is a founding member of the British Photovoltaic Association (BPVA) that has campaigned to ensure solar photovoltaic energy is established as the leading renewable energy source in the UK and to promote UK solar internationally. Flexisolar has also been shortlisted in the KPMG Cambridge Cleantech top 50 growth companies for 2016. Our vision is to accelerate the transition from fossil to renewable energy sources. In order to facilitate this transition, Flexisolar develops solutions that disrupt the centralized electricity generation model and enable decentralized energy generation integrated into electric vehicles and energy storage systems. As such, low-cost, large-scale solar carports enable the dual use of 1.3 billion m^2 for car parking and energy generation in urban centers in the UK alone. Our goal is to generate 3.6% of the world's electricity demand from urban parking.
