The best way to hold a ping pong paddle
The most common grip used in table tennis is the shakehand grip, where the racket is held similar to a handshake. To use the shakehand grip, place the paddle in your non-dominant hand with the handle pointing towards your dominant side. Wrap your fingers around the handle, with your index finger slightly separated from the rest of your fingers. Place your thumb against the rubber on the other side of the handle. This grip allows for quick and easy transitions between forehand and backhand strokes.
