In this study, we sequenced the mitochondrial genome of Perlesta teaysia. The complete mitochondrial genome was 16,023 bp in length, including 37 typical genes and a control region. The overall nucleotide composition was biased toward the A/T nucleotides. All the protein-coding genes (PCGs) started with typical ATN codon as the start codon except for ND1 and ND5, which started with TTG and GTG, respectively.
