The Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) credential is an entry-level certification for individuals starting a career in sleep technology. Administered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT), CPSGT certification demonstrates foundational knowledge in conducting sleep studies, monitoring patients, and assisting in diagnosing sleep disorders. This temporary, three-year certification allows new professionals to gain experience and advance toward the more comprehensive RPSGT credential. Candidates must complete training, gain clinical experience, and pass the CPSGT exam to earn this certification.
