Ohmic contact
An Ohmic contact is an electrical contact in which the current is carried exclusively by the electrons. As the number of free carriers in the immediate region of the metal is limited, the contact resistance at the interface between the metal and the semiconductor is very small and does not limit the current (as is the case with a Schottky contact).
