Swoop Airlines, launched in 2018 as WestJet’s ultra-low-cost carrier, offered affordable flights across Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean. Operating a fleet of Boeing 737-800 and MAX 8 aircraft, Swoop provided budget-friendly travel options with base fares up to 40% lower than traditional airlines. In October 2023, Swoop ceased operations and was fully integrated into WestJet’s mainline services.
