The universal joint is considered one of the oldest flexible couplings and is commonly used in automobile applications and trucks. Universal joints are located between two shafts and are joined at a transmitted torque angle. The vehicle's transmission system works at the gearbox shaft as output. The universal joint permits the torque at an angle while the angle quickly changes constantly at a time when you are moving with your car.
