Cannabidiolic acid (CBD) has been shown to have powerful anti-inflammatory properties, and some of the research points to its promise in the treatment of cancer. In tests, CBDA inhibited the activity of the protein Id-1, which catalyzes the growth and survival of cancer cells. It also increased the expression of another protein called Sharp-1, which suppresses breast cancer metastasis. However, more studies are needed to determine exactly how CBDA can be used as a therapy for cancer.
