In in vitro experiments, cigarette smoke extract (CSE) treatment reduced the expression of HOXA-AS2 and cell proliferation of HPMECs. Knocking down HOXA-AS2 inhibited HPMECs proliferation and the expression of Notch1 in HPMECs.
