"Yossi’s paintings explore the landscapes of Jerusalem, biblical events, and Jewish symbols as a mystical experience, as an emotion that many of us share. His paintings hover between figuration and abstraction, conveying a sense of place that can only exist on the periphery of dreams.
The viewer is taken on a journey through the metaphysical, the sanctified, and the historical within Jewish life – stepping back and forth between the timelessness of the mystical and the relentless cycle of change in the physical.
